Seattle's premier summer Kite Beach jetty island...
Seattle's premier winter Kite Beach double bluff...
New resources added to "SKA's" WIND page..

Double Bluff is located on the West side of Useless bay on South Whidbey Island.

It is known well as a high wind, big swell location by the windsurfing community and is an ideal kiting location with it's frequent side onshore winds. On med to low tides there is acres of beach similar to Jetty Island. On medium to high tides there is a small sandbar on the west end. At the highest of tides DB can be a tricky launch as the water is up against the logs and bulkhead.

Refer to the Admirality Inlet portion of the Marine Forecast for the forecast. Refer to Point no Point and NAS Whidbey for the current conditions.

Best Wind Direction(s) Prefrontal South-Easterlies. D I R E C T I O N S Take the Mukilteo-Clinton Ferry to the south end of Whidbey Island. From the ferry dock, take 525 (main road) pass both Bayview Rd. and Useless Bay Rd, next left at Doublebluff Rd., then straight to the park at the end.
